Covenant’s Senior Pastor, Robert Jarrett, was adopted by the grace of God into the body of Christ in November, 1973 in Decatur, Georgia through the Evangelism Explosion outreach of Chapel Woods Presbyterian Church. In 1974, having received God’s call to the Gospel ministry, Pastor Jarrett enrolled at Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, SC and was awarded the Masters of Divinity Degree in 1977. His first pastoral ministry was at the First Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro, GA from 1977-1979. In September, 1979 he was called to be the first full-time pastor of a new work called Covenant Presbyterian Church in Warner Robins, this church. He continues here as senior pastor. In 1981 Pastor Jarrett was approved by the Session to join the Reserve of the Air Force as a Chaplain to especially have opportunity for ministry on Robins Air Force Base. He served as a reserve chaplain until his retirement in September, 2004 at the rank of Colonel. He also served several years as a board-approved volunteer chaplain at the Houston Medical Center. Pastor Jarrett met his bride, Beverly Lukemire Jarrett, here in Warner Robins in 1981. They married December 18, 1982 and now have three adult children, Rachel, Kathryn, and Nathan.
